SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Drugs and money were at the center of Monday’s murder in Sioux Falls.
Officer Sam Clemens says police recovered a large amount of cash at the scene.
Clemens says the suspects knew the murder victim. he say investigators believes they have the principal players in custody and he doesn't believe anyone else will be arrested or charged in the case. But the investigation continues and police are still interviewing people with information in the case.
Clemens says the murder victim’ s father was wounded when he unexpectedly walked in on the men. He says the 48-year-old man is stable and recovering at a city hospital.
Investigators recovered a 9 millimeter handgun in the home.
18-year-old Brian David Anderson and 17-year-old Trevor James Kruthoff, both of Watertown, are charged with murder.
There’s no word on when they’ll be brought to Sioux Falls.
