SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Car accidents were lower than usual this morning for the first big snowfall in Sioux Falls.
Officer Sam Clemens says there were 17 accidents between 5:30 and 8:45. He says there are a lot of different factors that can contribute to that total: slow commute, where motorists are coming from and if they were late.
Clemens says no street or intersection were more accident prone than others, they were all spread out over the city.
Clemens says past snowy, crash totals have hit 50 during a three hour stretch.
There were no injuries in this morning’s accidents.
