SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A seventeen year old Sioux Falls boy faces felony possession of improvised explosive device charges.
Lieutenant John Duprey says it was the boy’s mother that alerted police to the three bombs found in their East 23rd Street home.
Dupree says anytime you add metal fragments or glass fragments, that has a potential for harming or maiming someone, that's where the angle comes from.
Duprey says the teen used black powder from fireworks, glass jars and metal fragments in the three devices seized.
