SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A drug investigation led to the arrest of two Sioux Falls men on charges including counterfeiting and possession of stolen firearms.
Officer Sam Clemens says police found rifles, marijuana, a scanner printer and sheets of fake $20 bills at a home on South Duluth Avenue.
Clemens says this case has nothing to do with a rash of phony $100 bills that are currently being passed in Sioux Falls. However, he says detectives say they are making progress on those cases but there are no suspects yet.
18-year-old Nicolas Allyn Wingler is charged with distributing marijuana, possession of counterfeit bills and a machine to make them. Wingler lives in the house on South Duluth Avenue.
20-year-old Matthew Eugene Marshall is charged with possession of stolen firearms. Clemens says Marshall was arrested leaving Wingler's home with a duffle bag with six rifles, two of which were stolen.
