SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Governor Daugaard says he hasn’t decided yet what he’ll do with the transgender bathroom bill.
Daugaard says he’s still wading through testimony from legislative committee hearings.
Daugaard says that he and his wife have company coming from his hometown this weekend. He says it was scheduled well in advance and he couldn't forsee that he would have to weigh heavily on a piece of legislation.
He says he'll make a decision by Tuesday and adds that he wants he wants to do it well.
Daugaard says he’s also reading court transcripts he’s received from bill proponents and opponents. He says he's most interested in what South Dakotans think. He says he's less concerned about opinion coming from outside South Dakota.
