Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Five people were arrested on robbery or related charges after a parking lot robbery Saturday night.
Just before 8:00 p.m., authorities were called to the area of 3921 W 41st in the parking lot for a robbery that had just occurred. Both Sioux Falls Police and Minnehaha County Sheriff Deputies responded. Once on scene, several involved subjects were located in the parking lot at this location. Another involved party that had fled the scene was located at 3209 S Louise Avenue.
Subsequent investigation revealed that an adult female party was completing a transaction of the purchasing of an item listed online when the item was forcefully taken from her after she completed the purchase.
The following subjects were arrested and lodged at the Minnehaha County Jail reference the incident: 1) (20 year old, black male, Sioux Falls resident) for 2nd Degree Robbery. 2) (21 year old, black male, Sioux Falls resident) for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 3) (19 year old, black male, Sioux Falls resident) for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 4) (21 year old, black male, Sioux Falls resident) for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. 5) (21 year old, black male, Sioux Falls resident) for Aiding and Abetting Robbery.
It should be noted that the actual initial incident took place in a parking lot near the 3700 block of W 41st Street.
