SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A traffic stop southeast of the Empire Mall last night ended when a police dog caught the driver after he ran from his car.
Police say 19-year-old Rundial Kun Biliu of Sioux Falls fled to apartments on South Baha Avenue and hid under a car in the parking lot.
When a tenant led officers to the car, Biliu ran again and the dog caught him. Officer Sam Clemens says Biliu may have run because of some outstanding warrants.
Police found an Airsoft handgun near the car where Biliu was hiding. The officer that stopped the car saw the gun in the suspect's hand when he fled.
He was treated for bite marks on his leg and is charged with fleeing and obstructing officers.
The driver who originally stopped for speeding received a ticket and continued on.
