SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade tomorrow has a new route: a straight shot north down Phillips Avenue between 13th and 5th Streets.
Grand Marshal of the 37th Annual Parade Dr. Pat O’Brien says it starts at two. He says you don't have to be Irish to be in the parade but you do have to buy a button with the proceeds going to Special Olympics.
The traditional painting of the Shamrock is at 11:30 at 9th and Phillips.
Meanwhile...There will be fifteen extra officers on patrol in Sioux Falls tomorrow night.
Officer Sam Clemens says they’ll work from seven Saturday until three Sunday morning. Clemens says, as alway, they'll be looking for impaired drivers. He says cautions drivers to obey speed limits and observe the rules of the road.
