SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire late Friday night. The fire was reported at 212 E. 11th St. by people at a nearby establishment, according to KSFY- TV.
Fire units arrived to find the roof of a four-story building on fire and gained access to the roof with aerial ladders. Other fire crews evacuated around 40 employees who were working in the building at the time.
The main body of the fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes but crews remained on the scene for three hours to extinguish small fire flare ups.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no injuries. The roof suffered moderate damage from the fire and the fourth floor had light smoke and water damage.
