I-29 open but no travel advised south of Junction City

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM)  - The South Dakota Department of Transportation says Interstate 29 is now open both directions between Exit 26 and Sioux City, but officials are advising No Travel in that area until further notice. 

Heavy snow and wind have made the roadway snow-packed and slippery and crews are still working to remove stuck vehicles between Elk Point and Sioux City.Be sure to check www.safetravelusa.com/sd or dial 511 for the latest road condition updates.
