SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - There's an opportunity tonight to meet the twelve Sioux Falls City Council candidates at a social at Prairie Berry Eastbank on East 8th Street.
Amy Smolik with the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce says there won't be a formal question and answer session.
Smolik says each candidate will have five minutes to introduce themselves, talk about their candidacy and how it will impact young professionals. The Chambers Young Professionals Network is sponsoring the social.
Upcoming Chamber forums include the Sioux Falls School Board Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 31, which is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
Each of the five candidates will have one minute for an opening statement, one minute to respond to questions submitted from the audience and one more for concluding statements
Also with the League of Women Voters, the Chamber holds a Municipal Candidate Forum on Thursday, April 7 at Carnegie Town Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
The city-school board election is Tuesday, April 12, with polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
