SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Democratic candidate for Congress Paula Hawks today addressed the gender pay gap and took a jab at Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump.
Hawks labeled Trump as anti-woman. She says "Trump doesn't support equal pay for equal work. He's not going to focus on child care and work flexibility."
Hawks then asked the question, "Kristi Noem do you support Donald Trump."
Noem backed the failed candidacy of Marco Rubio.
At a press conference Thursday morning in Sioux Falls, Hawks challenged Noem on her vote against the Violence Against Women Act in 2013 over objections to what House Republicans termed controversial issues.
Hawks says she supports equal pay for equal work, affordable child care and work flexibility. She says in her opinion these issues are common sense.
