Gas prices down fractionally from last week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The U.S. average retail price for regular gasoline fell to $2.07 a gallon on Monday.

That’s down 1.4 cents from a week ago, based on the weekly price survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Pump prices were highest in the West Coast states at 2.56 a gallon, down 1.7 cents from a week ago. Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast states at 1.84 a gallon, down 3.4 cents.

AAA South Dakota says a gallon of gas in Sioux Falls averages $1.96, ranging from $1.59 to $2.35. 

The U.S. average retail price for on-highway diesel fuel rose to $2.13 a gallon on Monday. That’s up 1.3 cents from a week ago, based on the weekly price survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Diesel prices were highest in the West Coast states at 2.33 a gallon, up 1 ½ cents from a week ago. Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast states at 1.99 a gallon, up 9-tenths of a penny.

AAA South Dakota says a gallon of diesel in Sioux Falls ranges from $1.97 to $2.13.
