SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Sioux Falls man faces a felony, child abuse charge after allegedly hitting his nine-year-old son with a belt.
Officer Sam Clemens says staff at Cleveland Elementary noticed the boy's bruises. He suffered bruising to his right hip and backside.
Cleveland's school resource officer notified investigators who called the boy's father to come to the Law Enforcement Center, which he did.
Police arrested 29-year-old Darrious Jermaine Franklin Senior.
Clemens says the incident happened Monday afternoon and staff noticed the bruises Tuesday,
