Officers were dispatched to the area of W. 8th St. and S. Lake Ave for the report of gun shots. The caller told Metro Communications that they observed a red vehicle driving Northbound on N. Lake Ave.
An occupant of that vehicle was reported as having pointed a gun in the air and fired 3-4 shots. Officers arrived in the area and located shell casings in the roadway.
At the time of this writing the Police Department has not received any reports of injuries or property damage. The investigation is ongoing.
