Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Headlining the Silver anniversary edition of the Sioux Falls Jazzfest will be Bruce Hornsby and the Noisemakers, The Fray and delta bluesman Tab Benoit.
Get in the groove at Yankton Trail Park July 14-16.
Rob Joyce, head of the Sioux Falls Jazz & Blues Society announced the 2016 Jazzfest lineup on Wednesday at the Washington Pavillion.
He predicted that Benoit would generate the most buzz because of his huge fan base. Joyce said that The Fray, a contemporary rock band, was picked with an eye to the future of Jazzfest - the next 25 years - to connect with a new audience.
Other acts include Kenny Wayne Shepard, Andrea Day, Coco Montoya, Janiva Magness, The Steepwater Band, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band and the Claudettes.
Local talent will also get in their licks: Brian Masek, The First Thursday Dixieland Band, Debbie Duncan, and the JAS Quintet.
The hot and threatening weather damped down attendance at last year's festival, but still some 80,000 people enjoyed the show.
