SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A retired Sioux Falls man says he a received an scam email claiming that he owes Transocean, a bonafide Swiss drilling company, almost $3,000.
Brian Gage says he's never done any business with the Transocean and the email is poorly written and full of punctuation errors.
Gage says its evident the email is intended to fleece him out of some money. He says email directs him to click on attachments to see the original paperwork. He says that's a trap too. He's never done any business with Transocean.
Gage says he has reported the email scam to police.
