SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The average price for regular gasoline rose to $2.24 a gallon yesterday, up almost eight cents from a week ago says the Energy Information Administration.
Pump prices were highest in the West Coast states at 2.64 a gallon, up almost 4 cents from a week ago. Prices were lowest in the Gulf Coast states at 2 dollars a gallon, up over 8 cents.
Triple A South Dakota says the average price for a gallon of regular in Sioux Falls is $2.12, up 8 cents from a week ago. Prices range from $1.90 to $2.45.
The U.S. average retail price for on-highway diesel fuel rose to $2.27 a gallon on Monday. That's up 6.8 cents from a week ago, based on the weekly price survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
