SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police are looking for a male bicyclist who hit a woman from behind on the bike trail seriously injuring her.

Officer Sam Clemens says the collision sent the woman into the air and she suffered torn ligaments and a bruised shoulder blade when she landed on her back.

The bicyclist is described as a white male, forty to fifty years old, wearing a black bike helmet and a neo green shirt with a thin, muscular build and a big nose.

Clemens says the victim told the bicyclist she was injured but he kept riding.  The victim was walking with three friends who witnessed the collision.

The collision happened in March on the bike path near West 12th Street and the Big Sioux River. Clemens couldn't say why it took so long for the victim to tell police
