Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Jared Stone is back in Sioux Falls to face charges of murder stemming from the death of Baptiste White Eyes last month, and it looks like he will stay behind bars.
A judge on Wednesday set his bond at a cash only $2 million. Not only is it a steep bond, it also comes with steep conditions. Even If he does come up with the money, the Argus Leader in Sioux Falls reports that Stone can have no contact with White Eyes family, any witnesses, or with the women charged with helping him when he was on the run.
Stone lead police on a multi-state chase that lasted nearly a week after it was announced that he was a person of interest in the case. The chase ended near the Nebraska-Wyoming border when Stone was arrested and charged with various drug and traffic violations. He pled no contest to those charges.
KSFY TV reports that Stone was booked in the Minnehaha county jail shortly after 7PM on Tuesday.
