SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether and wife Cindy are proud grandparents for the first time.
Huether made the joyful annoucement on KELO Radio's Greg Belfrage Show on Tuesday.
"I am now a grandpa," gushed Huether, "Kylie and David had this beautiful baby on Sunday."
George Owen Kiesner was born on Sunday, May 22, 2016 to David and Kylie Kiesner.
"All these years, I kept going, why do these people keep talking about their grandkids, I mean, my gosh, get a life," said the Mayor, "and now here I am two days into it and that's all I talk about."
Baby George, mother, father and grandparents are all doing fine. Mayor Huether has pictures.
