SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO-AM) One of Minnehaha County's most wanted, Micah Buum, was captured in broad daylight on Tuesday in Sioux Falls.
County Chief Deputy Michelle Boyd says Buum was spotted on a motorcycle near 10th and Minnesota. Authorities trailed him until he essentially gave up without a struggle.
"He eventually dumped the motorcycle, got off of it," Boyd told KELO Radio, "It's believed he threw a gun and then laid down for arrest."
Boyd says Buum is wanted for a long string of burglaries in the Sioux Empire area, perhaps 20 or more. She says they found meth and marijuana on him when he was arrested.
This is the same guy that authorities thought was holed up in a storage unit near Crooks recently. There was a 12 hour stakeout at the unit, but it became clear that Buum had never been in the unit. They did find some stolen property.
