SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - No shortage of witnesses this morning in a high speed chase that ended near 35th and Kiwanis with police using a Tazer to subdue the suspect.
Witnesses say they've never seen so many police and highway patrol cruisers at a scene.
They were chasing the driver of a stolen Muth Electric van. The incident started in northern Sioux Falls and got as far south as 85th and Louise.
Kiwanis Avenue was closed near O'Gorman High to 33rd Street. The suspect drove at high speeds, on sidewalks, the wrong way, hit a car before stopping and was on city streets and the interstate.
Police say the driver of the stolen vehicle is 35-year-old David Allen McGhee. He's in the Minnehaha Countyh Jail for Aggravated Eluding, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Grand Theft Auto, Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, Resisting Arrest and an outstanding US Marshalls Warrant for Grand Theft.
