SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - A Saturday night, Sunday morning saturation patrol resulted in five D-W-I arrests. Officer Sam Clemens the nine extra officers also wrote fifteen speeding tickets, ten seatbelt and twelve no insurance citations.
Clemens says that's why police hold saturation patrols. There are too many impaired drivers on the road and too many that ignore traffic laws.
Clemens says the figures are comparable to past Memorial Day patrols. The extra officers worked from seven Saturday night until three Sunday morning.
