Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - A man wanted in Aberdeen on charges of robbery has been arrested in Sioux Falls.

Police say 19 year old Tanner Dvorak was spotted twice in western Sioux Falls on Monday night. Sgt. Ryan Qualseth with the Minnehaha County Sheriff's office says officers tried to initiate a traffic stop of an ATV that Dvorak was supposedly driving, but he fled into a rural area and they were unable to pursue him without putting the public in danger. "He is definitely in the Sioux Falls Area. He has friends and/or family in this area that we believe may be helping him," said Qualseth. Dvorak has a warrant out for his arrest, meaning if there are people helping him hide those individuals could face charges as well.

Charges against Dvorak stem from an incident earlier this month in Brown county involving petty theft and the stealing of firearms and a vehicle. The Brown County Sheriff's office is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Qualseth says because the theft of guns was involved, Dvorak is considered to be armed and dangerous. "From a law enforcement perspective, when a burglar is taking property and firearms, we pay particular attention to that."

Dvorak's arrest was reported on Facebook by the Minnehaha County Sheriff's office just after 10PM on Tuesday. No further details were immediately available.
