SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The "Freedom Pass" youth program starts Saturday and allows free bus rides for anyone six to 18 years old to ride Sioux Area Metro for free.
City Councilman Rick Kiley says students must show a bus driver a middle or high school I-D or a SAM-issued Freedom Pass when boarding.
Kiley says the program has the long-term benefit of encouraging life long ridership habits.
Freedom Passes are available the Sioux Area Metro offices on East 6th Street.
