SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly shooting a handgun out of a car window near 14th and Minnesota last night.
A witness identified Tyress Devon Washington, possibly from Mississippi, as the suspect who fired multiple rounds from the car.
Witnesses gave police a description of the car and it was stopped a short time later at 11th St and Main Ave and Washington fled from the traffic stop.
He was found a few blocks away and arrested with a stolen pistol in his possession.
Washington is charged with possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, possession of a firearm by a prior violent felon, discharging a firearm from a motor vehicle, carrying a firearm concealed with no permit and fleeing from police.
No one was located nor reported to be injured and no damage was located at the scene of the shooting.
