SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - If you hear an explosion in central Sioux Falls over the next week it will probably be from the police department's SWAT training.
Officer Sam Clemens says training will happen at several different sites.
He says member of SWAT will be working with different "breaching techniques" and he says some residents will hear explosions.
Police are releasing this information to the public so they won't be alarmed.
He says the training is not open to the public or the media. No interview requests related to the training will be granted and none of the training can be recorded. Police do not want to tip their hand to the bad guys.
Clemens says its a yearly exercise.
