SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - The Minnehaha County Commission today approved a preliminary plan for a subdivision planned north of Renner owned by Harrisburg School Superintendent Jim Holbeck.

Neighbor Tony Lee objected to the development saying his basement was damaged when the previous landowner changed the watershed by raising alfalfa instead of row crops.

Lee says he has a flooded basement, it was finished, he's working to get it corrected and says he's easily going to have over $80,000 in damages.

Holbeck says he plans on helping Lee.

Holbeck says he'll build a berm on the back of Lee's property, direct the water that comes down the draw to his house currently to his yard and move it to the ditch of the road.

The approval means Holbeck can bring the final plat and create lots.
