SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls police focused on distracted drivers, especially those using phones, while on patrol yesterday and stopped 29 motorists.
Officer Sam Clemens says the campaign is in the education phase now, but enforcement will follow.
Clemens says citations will be handed out soon during these mini-saturation patrols. He couldn't be specific but thought the next time the effort is made, tickets will be issued.
Officers worked downtown and 57th and Louise for four-and-a-half hours.
