SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Following a Drug Task Force investigation, authorities arrested a Sioux Falls man on meth distribution charges after they spotted him riding a bicycle on 41st Street yesterday.
Officer Sam Clemens says 45-year-old Ryan Garner Gillis was wearing a backpack.
Clemens says when police stopped Gillis he started running and after a short foot pursuit he was caught and resisted being handcuffed by police.
Officers went to the motel room Gillis was renting at the Red Rock Inn and arrest three more people on drug charges including 31-year-old Laura Ann Brown, 42-year-old Roy Charles Hampton and 37-year-old Alfred Frank Siani, all of Sioux Falls.
Gillis is charged with distribution and possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and obstruction.
Clemens says officers found a grenade in the motel room but are determining today if it's live or a dummy.
