SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Police say a Sioux Falls woman’s story of how she was shot in the leg Saturday night is murky.
Officer Sam Clemens says the 21-year-old victim told investigators she was accidentally shot by a man who got into her car brandishing a handgun. She says she was trying to put her car into gear and drive away. She claims the suspect reached over to stop her and when he did the gun fired.
Clemens says the man fled the scene and the woman went to the hospital.
Clemens says the she’s being uncooperative. He says another story from the woman’s boyfriend doesn’t match hers.
