Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Reducing crime is part two of Sioux Falls mayoral candidate Greg Jamison's 'People first Initiative'.
Jamison says crime is rising in Sioux Falls and he wants to give the police department more resources, including additional officers. Jamison did not want to give a specific number of officers until, as mayor, he runs it by city council and the police chief.
He is also calling for a special crime unit that would focus on the most violent crimes, and also, as mayor, would hold a crime summit with community and law enforcement leaders.
Jamison says the Sioux Falls Police Department does a wonderful job but needs more resources.
