Sioux Falls woman charged with child rape

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) Sioux Falls police report that a woman has been arrested on three counts of Rape 4th Degree and two counts of Sexual Contact with a Child Under 16. An arrest warrant was issued for these charges and served on 33-year-old Tonya Marie Drueppel of Sioux Falls.

Police say the investigation began on January 22, 2014, when police received a referral from the Department of Social Services about a 14-year-old girl who was having some type of relationship with Drueppel. It is believed this relationship began in 2012.

Drueppel is being held on a $500,000 cash bond.
