Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) The Minnehaha County Commission has approved spending $650,000 to replace an old bridge on a gravel road near Hartford that gets virtually no traffic.
Commissioner Dick Kelly voted against it, saying there is only so much money to go around and spending this much money on a bridge that gets little use is a waste. The old bridge was built in the 1930s.
Other commissioners say the county is growing and eventually the bridge will get more traffic.
