SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - With prom and graduation season ahead, parents need to talk with kids about the dangers of drinking and driving.
If you don’t know what to say or where to start, Darcy Jensen with Prairie View Prevention says come to Tuesday night’s (4/2) town hall meeting. Jensen says since 2006, 62 South Dakota teenagers have died and over 800 were injured in alcohol related vehicle crashes.
The Town Meeting is free and open to the public, and is for students and parents. Jensen says both can learn about the important issues facing families every day.
The panelists: Judge Robin Houwman, 2nd Circuit, SDHP Captain Alan Welsh, Dr. Jamie Chambers with Strounghold Counseling Services and Megan Meyers with the American Heart Association.
