Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) - Petitions submitted by Sioux Falls physician Dr. Annette Bosworth have been deemed valid by South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant. In an announcement from Pierre yesterday, Gant said his office has reviewed the signatures and there are enough valid entries to allow the petition to validate Bosworth's name to go on the ballot for the upcoming U.S. Senate primary. The document had been challenged by political activist Cory Heidelberger. Gant has forwarded the affadavit to check whether one of the claims made by Heidelberger is true. A total of 1,955 valid signatures were needed to gain a spot on the ballot.
