SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - According to consultants, the overall pay ranges for Minnehaha County employees are market competitive.
Elliot Sussels with Segal Consulting told the County Commission this morning that it takes their workers a longer time to get from minimum to maximum wage. Sussels says the report is based on 60 benchmark jobs in the public and private sectors
The Commission is considering changes in compensation and could make a decision this summer. Options include pay for performance, a change in raise steps and a hybrid of the two.
Sussels says the County offers generous healthcare benefits that have lower deductibles and co-pays for those on the plan.
