Sioux Area Metro (SAM) to Expand Routes and Service Hours

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Monday, Sioux Area Metro (SAM) will expand routes, bus frequency, and service hours on the following bus routes:

1. The expansion of weekday evening service on Routes 3, 6, 7, 9, and 10 will add two additional hours of service to those routes.
2. Weekday bus trips will increase on Routes 7, 8, and 19. Route 7 will now have buses running every 30 minutes all day. Route 8 will now have buses running every 45 minutes all day. Route 19 will expand service to the University Center and North Career Avenue area and will now run every hour all day.   
3. Minor route adjustments will also begin on April 14 that will help improve the system’s reliability on Routes 1, 2, 3, 6, and 19.

A listing of the routes, bus frequency, and schedule expansions can be found on our website at www.siouxfalls.org/sam. Also, all changes will be listed on all route brochures beginning on Saturday, April 12. Updated route brochures can be found at the Bus Stop and at the Southwest Transit Center along with several other businesses and public buildings.
