SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Friday's Plant Sale fundraiser for the Prairie Heart Guest House at Avera Heart Hospital has grown into a big spring party.
Board Member Ann Olson says the Guest House is a hotel-like facility for a patient’s family. Olson says it's a peaceful, get-away for the family to rest, relax and to speak frankly with one another about the medical challenge that's happening.
Olson says the sale has grown to include vendors, indoor and outdoor plants, landscaping and raffle items donated from departments at the Heart Hospital.
The "Plant Sale" is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, May 2, in the lobby of Avera Heart Hospital, 4500 W. 69th Street.
