SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) -The Weather Service predicts thunderstorms this afternoon in northeastern South Dakota.
Forecaster Todd Heitkamp says thunderstorms are expected late tonight in southeast South Dakota. He says the weather could be a mirror image of Monday's downpour.
Heitkamp says the difference is that tonight's weather won't move in from northeast Nebraska but rather will set up over southeast South Dakota. Anticipate strong winds, hail, heavy rain and the possibility of tornadoes.
Heitkamp says there’s relief on the way. He says the cold front colliding with the warm, moist air mass will be the weathermaker by the weekend.
A flood warning is in effect until 7:30 tonight.
