SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - While on his way home yesterday, an off-duty Sioux Falls policeman saw a car involved in a short, high speed pursuit fifteen hours earlier at 5th Street and Sherman Avenue.
Captain Greg VandeKamp says the car was stopped and officers arrested the male driver and a female passenger for possession of meth.
VandeKamp says police first tried stopping the car early Thursday morning for a traffic violation but the driver sped away and the pursuit ended.
He says the car matched the pursuit vehicle's description but it didn't have any license plates and was stopped on South Minnesota Avenue. License plates were found inside the vehicle matching the plates from the earlier pursuit.
VandeKamp says the driver in the pursuit was not in the car when it was stopped.
22-year-old Raya Lane was later arrested at her Sioux Falls home for felony, aggravated eluding.
