Firework complaint calls are average in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM - Sioux Falls police responded to 301 fireworks complaint calls between July 1^st and July 6th

Officer Sam Clemens says 121 calls were made on the 4th.  He says the numbers are typical over the last five July 4th holidays.  He says calls gradually build as the 4th draws nearer and after the holiday the discharge of fireworks drops significantly

Clemens says only four citations were issued.  A citation carries a $95 fine.
