Sioux Falls, SD (KELO-AM) West Mall 7 Theatre in Sioux Falls this week will be installing new state-of-the-art 4K digital projectors to replace the old 35mm film projectors. West Mall 7 is the last theatre in Sioux Falls using 35mm.
Owner Todd Frager says the transition will give the discount theatre access to a wider variety of movies with a better picture and sound, but there are no plans to raise the $3 ticket price.
The final showing of a movie on film in Sioux Falls will likely occur Wednesday or Thursday night of this week.
