Sioux Falls S.D. (KELO AM) - Members of the Sioux Falls Police Department and Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the area of First Street and Cliff Avenue for a vehicle accident approximately 5:43 p.m. yesterday. First responders to the scene of the accident found three pedestrians had been struck by a van driven by Lois TwoBulls, of Sioux Falls..
Sioux Falls Police reported that a 43 year old Sioux Falls resident died on scene. Two other pedestrians, ages 53 and 13, both received serious non-life threatening injuries.
TwoBulls van was traveling North on Cliff Ave and turned into a parking lot in the 800 Block. It then traveled through the parking lot and exited North onto First Street and struck the three pedestrians.
TwoBulls was treated for non-life threatening injuries. She is being held for pending charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree, No Driver’s License, Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and Seat Belt Violation.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notifications to family members.
The accident remains under investigation.
