Road projects starting August 4 in Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, SD (KELO AM) - Here are the lane closures and construction planned for this week in Sioux Falls.  

 

Lane Closure – West 12th Street

Beginning on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, a portion of the outside eastbound lane of West 12th Street between South Lincoln Avenue and South Elmwood Avenue will be closed due to an inlet repair project. Inside eastbound lane will remain open to traffic at all times.

With weather permitting, this portion of the project is anticipated to be completed by August 13, 2014.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

Lake Avenue Construction

Beginning on Monday, August 4, 2014, construction crews will be working on three sanitary sewer repairs on Lake Avenue between 33rd Street and 37th Street. During construction, Lake Avenue will be open to local traffic only.

Work is expected to take one week with favorable working conditions.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

26th Street Patching

Starting on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, work will begin along 26th Street in the westbound lanes from west of the I-29 southbound ramp to 500 feet west of Marion Road. Work includes removing existing deteriorated patching material and replacing with new material. Westbound 26th Street traffic will be reduced to one lane. Traffic control will be in place with access to businesses remaining open.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

 

Street Repairs South Sycamore Avenue North of East 26th Street

Beginning on Monday, August 4, 2014, concrete repairs will be done on South Sycamore Avenue north of East 26th Street. Traffic delays are to be expected.

Work is expected to be complete in three days.

Motorists are urged to use caution in the construction areas and may wish to consider alternate routes.
