SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - Tonight’s executive session at the end of the Sioux Fall School Board meeting is the start of a long search for a new superintendent.
Board President Kent Alberty says Superintendent Pam Homan will retire at the end June.
Alberty says the Board wants a candidate that understands the demographic makeup of Sioux Falls and its ever growing School District.
Alberty says it’s been over ten years since the District has searched for a new superintendent.
He says the Board will begin to put together a plan for the hiring of a new superintedent tonight.
