Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO AM) - Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue responded to an early morning fire that claimed the life of one victim.
First-arriving units found flames coming from the first floor of a one story house located at 301 South St. Paul Avenue. The house fire was under control in approximately 15 minutes with heavy damage to the first floor and minor damage to the basement.
The call came at approximately 1:40 a.m. and the Sioux Falls Fire and Rescue responded with five fire trucks and 24 firefighters. No firefighters were injured fighting the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
