SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO AM) - As the Drug Task Force was dismantling a meth lab in downtown Sioux Falls earlier this week when part of it erupted into flames.

Captain Greg VandeKamp says meth makers can be ignorant of the dangers.

VandeKamp says it doesn't matter what size the meth lab is because even the ubiquitous one pot method is extremely flammable.  He says the chemicals alone pose a breathing risk for anyone exposed to the lab.

He say meth makers tend to dump leftover chemicals and bottles anywhere presenting another hazard to the general public.

VandeKamp says three suspects face felony drug charges and a child was turned over to Social Services.
