SIOUX FALLS. S.D. (KELO AM) - The Sioux Falls and West Central School Boards propose splitting tax revenues from the Cherry Lake Reserve development in west Sioux Falls.

Board President Kent Alberty says Sioux Falls schools would get an increasing amount of residential property taxes over twenty years, and then get it all.  He says all taxes from commercial property would stay with West Central permanently.

Both school boards plan public hearings December 8th.

The Sioux Falls School Board is considering proposals from seven head hunters who will help it look for a new superintendent.

Alberty says the Board will hold phone interviews with the top firms next week and make a decision before the end of the month.

Current Superintendent Pam Homan is stepping down after eleven years at the helm.
